So I'm sorry about the last post, maybe it was just to early to try to name them or maybe they just didn't like the attention. I assume that both of them are dead. I say assume they are dead because I can't find one of them. I have found one, he was sitting at the bottom of the aquarium the other day when I woke up. The other one....was gone. I don't know if the other frog ate him, or if he disintegrated, or if he just flew away, but he is gone.
So assuming that both frogs are dead I don't think that we can have the naming contest anymore. Sad I know, but its not like all 15 million of my readers submitted names, so I don't think to many people are going to be heart broken. But maybe in the future we will do something like this again, because now I just bought an aquarium and all the fixings and they are sitting empty. We will see though. It will probably be after school starts before I would get anything else though. Thanks to those of you that did send in frog name ideas though.
So right now I am in Sioux Falls for the Reunion Honor's Choir. I had a few extra hours to do nothing so I decided to right a new blog and share that bad news. Good news though, I got the Techfellowship at USD for next year, which is pretty exciting, it pays for quite a bit of school, so all is good in the paying-for-school department.
But keep listening, reading, commenting, suggesting, and voting, its all appreciated. I'll be back later.

Dwarf Frogs!
Well I got two new pets for when I go off to college. I just bought two dwarf frogs. They are about an inch long, green with black spots. This is not a picture of mine because I couldn't get one, but this is exactly what they look like. One is a little bit bigger than the other. And I want everyone that is reading my blog or listening to the podcast to help me name them.
So 1. You have to do is send me your name suggestions. Send them to my email, devvon@gmail.com, send them to ourperspectiveradio@gmail.com, write them on our facebook wall, or send me a message on facebook. Send me what you think would be good names for my two dwarf frogs.
2. After I get all of the suggestions, I will pick the best ones and I will put them into a poll on our website (ourperspectiveradio.bravehost.com) and I want everyone to vote on your favorite name.
3. The two names with the most votes will become the new name of my two frogs!
Please, send in your requests for names, vote in the polls, listen to our show, and read Kevin's blog. Thanks!

Movies Lately
So just last night I finally rented '21'. I sat down with my girlfriend and a couple of other friends and we watched it. I don't think it was as good as everybody made it out to be when it was in the theater. When it was on the big screen, I had never heard of it but everybody going to it said is was amazing and that I should see it. I didn't take their advice to go to it, I just rented it now....It's cheaper....
So if you haven't seen '21' yet, its about a couple of MIT students that go to Las Vegas every weekend to make money counting cards because they are smart enough to do it. Then of course trouble ensues, not to give the whole movie away, but you could have probably guessed as much. But I think this movie did about as good a job as you could, making a movie about college kids counting cards. I think it was a well done movie, it just couldn't have gotten any better than about average for me based on the plot of it.
Then a couple of days ago I saw 'The Dark Knight'. I first just want to say that it is not my favorite movie of all time but it was a good movie. I loved the Joker and how Heath Ledger played him. I think that had to be one of the most fun parts you could ever want to play. The whole, I am going to blow things up to make a statement and just because its fun, not because I want anything, is priceless. It gives the villain one up on the hero because he really doesn't care what happens.
But just because I liked the Joker doesn't mean I liked the whole movie. Now Batman....Why Batman do you talk like you smoke a carton a day. I don't get it. You sound dumb. That right there ruins the whole Batman is cool thing for me, (Batman is still cool, just not Christian Bale as Batman). But maybe thats just me, I'll just have to get over it.
That brings us to Two-Face, behind the Joker, probably one of the coolest characters out there. I think that is a cool concept for justice, just give everyone an unbiased 50-50 chance at life. So while the character is cool, what the heck happened to his face? I don't know but I am pretty sure fire isn't that generous. 'I think I am only going to burn half of your face. How does that sound Mr. Dent?' No....I am pretty sure it would have burned all of it, if it burned that half so badly. And wouldn't his eye like kind of dry out without having an eye lid there....Maybe we need to go and rethink everything a little bit and redo Mr. Two-Face a little.....Thanks.....
Ok, One more movie. On a past episode of Our Perspective, Kevin talked about the movie 'Rendition'. So I figured I would go and check it out. I got it home and popped it in and was very surprised. I thought it was a good movie. *Warning, do not get this movie if you do not want to see blood, torture, etc. Also, don't get this movie if you are not interested in the Middle Eastern conflicts and things like the Patriot Act.* So about three fourths of the way through I thought this movie is getting really long and it isn't very good. Then everything started falling into place and I just about crapped a turtle. If you get this movie, make sure you watch it all the way to the end, it is worth it. Again, not a top ten movie I think, but definitely a good one.
So there is my little post about movies I have been watching. Thanks for reading. Make sure you listen to our podcast, vote in the poll, and let us know what you think about everything.

The Weather
I would now like to direct your attention to the weather. Not necessarily today's weather or yesterday's weather or even tomorrow's weather. Just the weather in general. Think about it for a little bit. Think about the vast differences and how it all affects us.
First and foremost, I like sunshine. Sunny and warm is what I consider the best weather. I like being outside without having to wear 4 layers of clothing. I like being able to roll the windows down and drive without freezing my rear end off. Think about sunshine. Its the sun. The huge sun, sending its massive explosions in every direction. This sunshine is hitting the Earth. These UV rays are what I long for in the winter, and bask in in the summer time. This big ball of explosion in the sky is the reason it gets warm on the planet. Now what would happen if it got to hot....Seriously, if we got like 20 degrees warmer in the summer, you wouldn't be able to go outside. But as hot as it gets, you are still able to live while traversing the summertime climates.
This I think brings us to snow, the opposite of summer. The evil twin brother to summer. I am not sure what God was thinking when he made winter but it was probably along the lines of 'Lets see what happens if we try to freeze them to death!' That was a good idea God, lets drop feet of frozen water from the sky, see what happens. But I guess I am not going to be the one to argue with God, there are enough other people in the world to do that for me.
Another type of weather that is pretty prevalent is rain. I think this type of weather has the most mismatched feelings out of them all. Either people love or hate rain. I choose to rest on the side of hating rain. Another one of God's good ideas, lets block the sun out with clouds and pour a bunch of water on them. What are we, God's science experiment? Lets drop a bunch of turtles on them next and see what happens! But I think, anything falling on me when I am outside is probably a bad thing...
Then I think this is where all of the disaster weathers would come in, the tornado, hail, hurricanes, but I am not going to comment on those, they are all bad.....all very bad....
Other than those mentioned above, I think that is about it for weather. So in other words, I hate everything that is not, sunny and 73. So God, now you know....I'm just kidding....unless you want to....
By the way, make sure to check out the podcast on iTunes! and vote in the poll on our website.

The Trends of Google
While I was searching the web for something to blog about, I came upon Google Trends, lets you know what other people are searching about and what the hottest topics are. So I figured these things would be good topics to talk about....
The number one searched thing at the time this blog is being written is 'zenel'....what the heck is zenel? I looked on wikipedia and dictionary.com and came up with nothing, but 9% of the activity was from New York.....Thanks Google, but that doesn't help me.
So lets move on from zenel to something I should talk about. Ahh, how about number six on Google Trends right now. Tourette Syndrome. I could go on for hours, but that would be really boring and I don't want to do that. It is an inherited neuropsychiatric disorder with onset in childhood, characterized by the presence of multiple physical (motor) tics and at least one vocal (phonic) tic; these tics characteristically wax and wane...That according to Wikipedia.
Now that I have appealed to all of the trendy people, I can talk to the trendy-impaired. Lets look at Google Trends' number 100, the least trendy thing they advertise, Ben Sheets. So after doing some research on Ben Sheets I found out that the Milwaukee Brewers' right-handed pitcher is pretty good. Other than that I really don't care, I never liked the non-trendy people anyways.
So all in all, I think if you have Tourettes, like the Milwaukee Brewers, and eat zenel......then you are a pretty trendy person. If not, thats ok. By these standards, I am not a very trendy person, but that just goes to show what Google knows. I think you are all trendy, even if you don't bow down to the omnipotency that is the Google. I think of you as no more of a small person than the person who does.
That being said, I think that ends my trendy talk about Google Trends and how you should probably stay away from it unless you want to catch a disease or something.
On another note, make sure that you keep sending us ideas for the podcast, for the blogs, and vote in the poll.
We are now also on iTunes! Go check it out, download the show and listen to it on the go!

Pirates of Fox News
I am so excited, I saw some unofficial announcements for Pirates of the Caribbean 4. Another person blogging about it said that it would be almost completely about Captain Jack Sparrow this time. No more Elizabeth and no more Will. This I think I can get over, I mean, Pirates was good because of Johnny Depp anyways, not because of everyone else, so I think this detail can be overlooked. The second thing that I read was that it was going to be more of a sci-fi movie now, not that it was completely plausible before, but I guess it is going to be more sci-fi now. Then the last thing I read....2011....It is supposed to be released in 2011........Do they know that it is 2008 right now? Thats a long time! Ok, well I guess I will stop wetting myself while talking about the next Pirates movie because it won't be happening for a while...
One other thing I would like to comment about is TV. Not necessarily TV's in general but the programming on the TV's. I have been watching Fox News for a while now and so far I think they have done about 88% about Tony Snow, 10% commercials, and 2% that isn't either of the former things.....Ok, Tony Snow was a good guy, you liked him, I am sure he loved his family, thats great.....so am I going to get any news? Nope, probably not. I will probably keep watching anyways, thats what TV is.....Oh wait, they aren't talking about Tony, there was an ice cream shop that had a bucket of ice cream with Jesus' face in it.......finally, some good news.....
Ok well I think I am done now, that was probably a good enough blog for now.
Make sure to leave comments, vote in the new poll, and leave suggestions for topics for the podcast, Thanks!

Working on Everything
I just got into work, I have no idea what I am supposed to be doing so I thought I would give my perspective on work.
I work at the local radio station in town and I think it is very fun and a good experience. Not to mention getting paid to do it is even better. I can't believe that at 18 I would have been working at a radio station for 3 years. I have also recently taken over the websites for the stations, you can check the AM station out here and the FM station here. Just remember that I did not design them, I am only now watching over them. For 18 and no technical training I think I am doing pretty good.
I am also working on getting the podcast to work a little bit better. I have happened across a really cool program call Audio Hijack. It allows you to record your Skype conversations. So chances are, the next podcast you hear will have come with the help of this program.
Still talking about the podcast, Andrew is still in Chicago and I am sure is still completely oblivious to the fact of what Kevin and I are doing back here in Mitchell. Thats ok though, I am sure he will get caught up soon, but that is why he is not doing anything yet.
Hope you keep reading and listening, Check the podcast out here.
